Project team

The project is a pilot, financed by the Volvo Research and Education Foundation. This is a collaboration involving four universities (UK, Aotearoa New Zealand, Argentina) and two companies, is now launched! The team includes:

  • Dr Tamara Bozovic and Dr Miriam Ricci, University of the West of England
  • Professor Erica Hinckson, Auckland University of Technology
  • Professor Melody Smith, University of Auckland
  • Carla Galeota and Dr Lorena Vecslir, Universidad Nacional de San Martin, Argentina
  • Hana Sutch, Go Jauntly (provider of the walkability app)
  • Grant Waters, Tranquil City (provider of data analytics feeding into the app).

The team collaborates online, across the countries, and in each country, the routes have been discussed and decided with local organisations.

    Would data from a town in rural Ontario Canada be useful?

      They could, in the grand scheme of things, but the present project was developed as a pilot with three locations. Going forward, the team will be looking to secure a grant for a broader deployment.
